TEABEAU LAKE

LOCATED 90 MILES NORTH OF NAKINA

Teabeau camp is our most remote camp.  It is an adventure just waiting to be visited.  The walleye and Northern fishing is just great.  It seems the fish in Teabeau have a chance to grow bigger and do.  23-25 inch walleyes are normal.  Catching them is different on the river.  Those of you that are river fishermen know what I mean.  Once you try it you will want to go back again and again.

This river adventure is not for the faint of heart.  The water is white and fast.  Lots of rocks and current that will make your heart quicken.  Of course you don't need to do the rapids.  But if you are there, why not.  You just need to be ready for more than just a quiet spot of fishing.

Teabeau Lake has one cabin that will accommodate 6 persons.  Formed by one of the most historic water highways in Ontario, this setting exudes all of the excitement and mystique engendered by the mention of the legendary Albany River with its background of wildlife, native peoples, and the ancient fur trade involving the rugged Coureurs de Bois.  Teabeau is approximately four miles long rapids to rapids, with channels getting down to 20 feet deep.  Conquered, but never tamed, the wild, white waters of this famed wilderness river at Kagiami Falls, below Teabeau, yield some of the best Brook trout in the area.  A short portage above the upstream rapids to a boat cache, provides an additional five miles of excellent Walleye and Northern fishing.  There is also a good population of Sturgeon.

Below is photo of the lake.  Click on it for a closer look.

Teabeau Lake is only accessible when the water level is high.  A float plane may not be able to land if it is a dry year.

Below are a few photos of this wonderful and remote outpost camp
