ARA GETS A NEW SET OF STAIRS

It has been a long time coming, but the time has finally arrived that Ara Lake cabins has had a new set of stairs installed.  They go from the dock to the upper area that holds the cabins and other buildings.  The old stairs had been repaired many times and were ready for another repair.  But this time we replaced the whole thing.  Below you will see the old and the new.

Old.  May of 2004 I, Bob, took on the task of designing and building the new stairway.

Below you see me doing some sketching and drawing.  Along with a few measurements and photos,  I began my winter project.

Below is in progress in my garage.

And now the finished product installed by my two sons and myself.

This is a welcome change and makes moving gear and just the walk much easier and safer.
